Welcoming our new Serpa 12oz Wine (and Coffee) Tumbler
When you start a drinkware company, a wine tumbler isn’t the obvious first move. It’s a smaller niche, tougher to manufacture, and even harder to differentiate. But for us, it felt inevitable.
The inspiration behind the design
At the Parker household, drinks with a nose — wine and coffee — have always been part of our rhythm. They slow things down. They create pause in the middle of chaos.
Michelle and I spent our honeymoon in Sonoma, falling in love with boutique vineyards, the craft of winemaking, and the people behind the bottles. My dad, brother, and I still share a glass after a round of golf or around a winter fire pit. Our lead designer even works from the heart of California wine country. So yes — this design was deeply meaningful..
Crafting the perfect curve
For beverages where aroma matters, shape is everything. We obsessed over that curve for more than a year — testing prototypes until the aroma lifted just right. We chose a 12oz volume (versus the standard 8–10oz) to allow for a generous pour and a longer moment — the kind that lingers like a sunset conversation.
SMMT exists to deepen human connection. The coming together over shared experiences. So, it was not by accident that a pair of Sèrpa 12oz Tumblers just about perfectly carries a full bottle of wine. Take someone special, find a view and stay awhile.
Form meets function
We made an intentional decision to keep our proprietary leak-proof lid system, sealing in both aroma and temperature. It also created something new — the only wine tumbler on the market with 3-Way Insulation:
- Vacuum-insulated walls
- Airtight (and insulated) leak-proof seal from the top
