This one has become tradition.
For the third winter in a row, we’ve teamed up with Powder Buoy to create a graphic that captures the rhythm of the season.
And this season?
It’s been a chase.
With record-light snowfall across much of the Western Rockies, winter hasn’t arrived easily. But around here, we don’t write seasons off. We dig in. We watch the maps. We drive further. We fly farther.
Because dry in one place almost always means deep somewhere else. This year, that “somewhere else” was Japan.
Nearly double the average snowfall. Storm stacking on storm. A pilgrimage east, one Powder Buoy and many others made themselves, in pursuit of the kind of winter that reminds you why you started chasing snow in the first place.
