Mud Season is the off-season. The shoulder season. It’s when people leave for greener pastures and warmer days. You don’t book a trip here. You bail.
Snow, rain, or sun—all possible in a single afternoon. Ski season’s done for everyone but those of us really willing to work for it. The trails aren’t quite open—dry for a day or two and then mud bogs for the next few. And that old saying, “Came for the winters, stayed for the summers”. Well, it leaves no room for this in-between.
But we see it differently.
We Celebrate the Uncelebrated
We raise a glass to the overlanders dodging puddles the size of small ponds. To the ones scraping thick layers of trail off their boots and running shoes. To the folks hiking for hours to hit those last stashes of snow in the shadows, just to slap on their skis one more time.
We love the rare quiet stroll on Main Street. Supporting the 365 bars and cafés that never close. And the early-season grillers—puffies zipped, tongs in hand, hoping the rain holds off just long enough to finish dinner.
You won’t find Mud Season in a brochure. But you will find the locals, people who stay, the ones who don’t believe in an off season.. The ones who don’t need the perfect forecast to show up. The ones who find beauty in the mess.

That’s why we made something new—our Mud Season 980 Limited Edition celebrates the uncelebrated. And it launches to our community on May 8th!
