Storm Chasing
To say it’s been a light winter in Utah and across the Mountain West would be an understatement.
When you’ve logged more time trail running than lapping runs in January, you know something’s off.
So our community did what it always does. We chased it.
Early storms in the Pacific Northwest. Drives north with skis on the roof and kids in the back. And for a lucky few, Japow during one of Japan’s most historic snow seasons in recent memory.
This winter hasn’t been handed to us. It’s been hunted.
And now, as February finally looks to deliver some real accumulation, Winter White returns.
We’re calling this year’s release Storm Chasing, because that’s how we’ll remember this season. Not for abundance, but for effort. For watching forecasts like traders watch markets. For refreshing radar apps. For text chains that endlessly debate whether tomorrow is the day.
We’re reminded that the worst weather brings the best days.
For many, a cold front and heavy cloud cover signal retreat. For us, it’s the opposite.
A serious forecast means first chair alarms. Reactivated group texts. Wax benches lit up at night. And earned après moments where the grins are wider because the turns were harder won.
We live for the storms.
The Color Story
Winter White 2026 mirrors the season that shaped it.
A matte off-white body inspired by the dense, pummeling flakes of a true powder day. A soft gray base and bumper reflecting the low ceiling of storm clouds that finally roll in heavy and unapologetic.
It’s clean. Understated. Timeless.
This year’s Winter White isn’t just a colorway. It’s a reminder that sometimes the best seasons aren’t easy. They’re earned.
NINE80 Uncommon Drop
Winter White: Storm Chasing is a Nine80 Uncommon Drop.
Only 980 units will ever be made.
One production run. No restocks. No second wave.
When they’re gone, they’re gone.
Because like a storm cycle, some things are meant to be experienced, not repeated.
