Mud Season 2025

Our annual NINE80 Limited Edition to celebrate the uncelebrated season.

Mud season is the offseason or shoulder season in mountain towns. It’s when you leave for greener pastures and warmer destinations. And you certainly don’t book a trip here. A season when snow, rain or sun are equally probable and often happen in the same day. Locally, the saying ‘came for the winters, stayed for the summers’ leaves no room for mud season. Ski season is over, trails not yet open.

Well, that’s one point-of-view. We celebrate the uncelebrated. We celebrate the overlanders, the scrapers of mud off trail shoes, those hiking for higher ground to strap the sticks on one last time. We love the rare quiet stroll on Main Street, supporting the few 365 restaurants and bars, and the early-season barbecuers willing to brave the weather.

There is no ‘off’ season, even in the offseason.

Limited Availability

Our NINE80 Limited Editions are only made in quantities of NINE80 (referencing the elevation of the mountains above our town). We release these to our community first, and when they sell out they are gone for good.

Good tumbler, needs stronger magnet

"I like the tumbler. It keeps the drinks cold and holds ice for a long time. Its also a good size for cup holders in the car or otherwise. I loved the idea of the lid magnetizing to the bottom but the magnet isn't very strong. Even a little agitation and the lid falls off of the bottom."

Giving it a shot

"So far it’s alright. Not necessarily impressed with having to twist the cap to be able to drink thus far, guess just very used to the Yeti’s. Haven’t dropped it yet or tried hot liquid in it either, the cold tea has stayed cold this afternoon."

Grant F. (5/5)

Great Travel Cup

"The design is highly refined, and the lid system stands out as the most impressive feature of this cup. From the top cap to the magnetic base for storing it, the concept is carefully considered. It is certainly leakproof and will maintain ice cubes and liquid at a cold temperature for most of the day. ."

Product never arrived

"Shipper confusion Customer derive were quick to respond then stopped being quick. Told me if their investigation didn’t produce any results they would ship replacements, that deadline came and went and never heard back. Using DHL and USPS as last mile is not good : this order have conflicting tracking info and I had to go to post office to inquire. Overall inconvenient Not a good first impression and I still don’t have a refund or replacements. . . waiting patiently. At this rate I want a refund"

Alex C. (1/5)

Just not big enough, i want more. . . . plz

"I received my 16oz tumbler and right off I knew, I want a larger capacity like a 24oz for my morning coffee that I purchase from a local coffee shop which is 24 oz. They all comment on how convenient the tumbler is. How cool the storage for the lid is. My ONLY negative thing so far is " its just not big enough. ""

M. R. (5/5)

Exceeds expectations

"We love our Sherpa tumblers and have enough of them for everyone in the family. During long days backcountry skiing/climbing, our hot drinks stay hot and do not spill in the backpack. When we jump on bike to go to an evening concert or sunset ride, our cocktails stay nice and cold. It's a small feature but the top nests perfectly into the bottom and we've stopped the game of collecting orphan mugs/bottles that lost their tops. 10/10 recommend."

Erik S. (5/5)

I gotta be honest I’m

"I gotta be honest I’m slightly disappointed in this item. It took me a long time to convince myself to purchase it too. I haven’t even had it a week and already the lid has discolored. The two lids are also not easy to get apart."

Diana P. (2/5)

"Love it, no leaks. Perfect size for what i needed. Accidentally forgot it on the counter when i left for work after filling it with hot coffee. It was still hot when i got home!"

Brad (5/5)

Lid needs improvement

"The lid is secured by 3 small plastic nubs that slide under tabs. Not sure how those are going to hold up long term and already had the lid pop off unexpectedly. For sure could have a better way to tighten the lid. I would be cautious about leaving this loose in a pack. Side note, shipping took close to 2 weeks."

Joseph P. (3/5)

Finally got one

"I've been debating for almost 3 months whether to order this or not, I finally broke down and ordered one. It does a good job of keeping drinks cold or hot the only fault I find is minor, I wish it was a larger size either 18 or 20 oz."
